This is a highlight reel from the production of Heathers: The Musical that she directed for the Rider University 2019 main stage season. The amazing choreogyaphy was by Robin Lewis. Rebecca has had a twenty-plus year friendship and professsional relationship with Laurence O'Keefe, the author of Heathers and also and Oliver Award Winner for Legally Blonde: The Musical and the cult classic Bat Boy. When he found out Rebecca was directing the show, he wanted her to be the first to use the new material that he has written for the London premiere that was about to happen (produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber). "Larry" was an integral part of our production and it was an amazing opportunity for our students, not only to be working with a Broadway composer, but the process of adding new material and rewrites into a production.
In 2012, Rebecca has the privilege to be in a seven-person reimagining of the classic musical Sweet Charity at Atlanta's (acutally beautiful Lawwrenceville, Georgia's) amazing Aurora Theatre. The production was directed by the Sean Daniels, Artistic Director of the Arizona Theatre Company and choreographed by Jennifer MacQueen. It also starred Jevares Myrick (The Book of Mormon), Caroline Arapogolou (Rose Cameron in Netflix'a Outer Banks and Stranger Things) and she played opposite her husband Trent Blanton (who played all of Charity's 3 love interests in the show). It was a great experience and here is the charming commericial reel for the show.
